Walton Hall Gardens was bursting with colour, laughter and community spirit yesterday as around 450 people came together for the much-loved St Rocco’s Hospice Colour Run.

Widely known as one of the most vibrant events in the Warrington calendar, this year’s run certainly didn’t disappoint.

With sunshine overhead and clouds of bright colour filling the air, families, friends and supporters turned out in force to take part — all while raising an incredible £20,000 for the hospice.

Participants of all ages made their way around the course, crossing the finish line covered in colour and proudly collecting their medals.

For many, the event was more than just a fun run, with runners taking part in memory of loved ones who have been supported by St Rocco’s, making it a truly meaningful day alongside the fun.

The Colour Run is one of the hospice’s biggest fundraising events of the year, helping to support the vital care and services they provide across Warrington.

MIX56 was proud to be there covering the event, where Smithy caught up with St Rocco’s Chief Executive, Sonya Currey. She shared her heartfelt thanks to everyone involved — from sponsors and organisers to every single runner — highlighting that the hospice’s work is driven by passion, care and dignity.
