Residents of new Housing Estate not happy as gardens flooded and a new location for Lymm May Queen

There’s a new housing estate being built in Lower Walton and residents have been experiencing a range of problems with drainage leading to widespread flooding across the estate.

The heavy rainfall we experienced in April has led to the Penketh Carnival being called off.

Lymm May Queen will go ahead as normal on Saturday 18th May, but not on the May Queen Field.

The parade will now go through the village and head up towards Davies Way Car Park.

Warrington Inspiration Awards

Around 200 people attended the Guardian’s Inspirational awards night recently.

Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, particularly fellow broadcaster Keith Inman, who won the Lifetime Achievement Award for his commitment to volunteering at Radio General (Warrington Hospital Radio) for 50 years!

Creamfields

Back in Warrington over the August bank holiday.  Much money has been spent to ensure an even better event this year!

You can read all about it in the Guardian!
