This week on Phil In The Morning, we were joined once again by Barbara With Herbs, our resident alternative health expert, for a brilliant chat full of practical tips, plenty of personality, and a healthy dose of laughter.
Barbara had only just come off the back of a successful appearance at the Cheshire Show, and by the sound of it, she loved every minute of it.
Barbara told us the show had a fantastic atmosphere, a great pitch, and plenty going on for all ages, from animals and country traditions to food, flowers, and live music.
She also made a strong point that events like the Cheshire Show aren’t just for one type of person — they bring together all sorts of people, and that’s part of what makes them so special.
We also spent a bit of time talking about the coming heatwave, and Barbara had some fascinating advice about staying cool the natural way.
She suggested thinking beyond the obvious and looking at cooling foods and herbs such as watermelon, cucumber, celery, dill, fennel, rose, chickweed, and calendula, plus keeping an eye on hydration and common sense in the sun.
As ever, Barbara brought plenty of energy and a refreshingly different way of looking at health and wellbeing. If you missed it, it was the kind of chat that makes the morning fly by — useful, entertaining, and just a little bit unexpected!
