Lymm Runners Jog on Again Appeal

Lymm Runners has teamed up with Charity Jog On Again to give sports shoes a second chance!

Did you know that over 30 million pairs of sports shoes end up in landfill every year?

The vast majority of these shoes have plenty of life left in them – yet – there’s millions of needy people around the world who would benefit from having them.

Chrissie Knight from Lymm Runners joined us in the studio this morning to tell us more.  You can listen again right here.

Lymm Runners is now appealing for your help.  Do you have any old sports/running shoes/trainers hanging around that you no longer need?

Even battered-looking examples can easily be upcycled by the Jog on Agaib Charity – and provided to someone less fortunate.

All sizes and styles are welcome!

Lymm Runners is only collecting sports shoes at this stage – but if you have any you’d like to donate, simply drop them off at the MIX 56 reception in Lymm Village and we’ll get them over to the runners!
