MIX 56 (HD) CHESHIRE'S BEST MUSIC MIX
In this edition of Herbs With Barbara it’s all about reconnecting with nature!
We all know that a walk in the spring sunshine can work wonders for our mental health – but at this time of the year, there’s also an abundance of food (and medicine) growing freely in nature.
Flowers can also provide the basis of a new hobby. Flower pressing is back in fashion and could well be a new hobby for you and your children!
You’d be surprised what you can forage for free! Barbara inspires us with a Greek-style recipe featuring ingredients that you can easily harvest for free right now.
This pretty herb with it’s tiny blue petals is cropping up everywhere at the moment.
The whole plant has been used by herbalists for centuries, but as it belongs to a plant family that contains hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids, it should be used with caution.
It can be useful in topical skin preparations and in homemade cosmetics.
If you’d like to find out more why not get inspired at the Herb Society.
