Sunday Breakfast

It was an evening full of insight and useful advice as our friends at Spire Cheshire Hospital hosted an engaging health talk on Tuesday 28th January at Warrington Golf Club.

The topic, Desk Job, Burnout and Your Health struck a chord with everyone who spends long hours at their desk or feels the strain of a busy lifestyle.

Leading the session were Dr Matthew Leech, GP – and Physiotherapist Matthew Goldthorpe from Spire Cheshire Hospital.

Together, they shared practical guidance on recognising the signs of burnout, the importance of regular movement, and how small lifestyle changes can make a big difference to both physical and mental wellbeing.

Representing MIX56, Rob and Magen from the Sunday Breakfast Show went along to find out more.

They described the event as “thought-provoking and motivating”, with plenty of relatable advice for anyone juggling work, home life, and staying healthy.

Attendees left with a clearer understanding of how to take care of their bodies, prevent tension and fatigue, and stay resilient under pressure.

It was a relaxed and informative evening – part of Spire Cheshire’s ongoing commitment to supporting local people in looking after their health and wellbeing – with regular free events held throughout the area.

A big thank you to Spire Cheshire Hospital for inviting us along and for continuing to spark important conversations about our health.
