In this update with Steven, it’s good news for commuters in the Warrington area as the Council have agreed to extend the £2 bus fare cap until 2025.
Warrington’s Own Buses continues to thrive and is currently looking ahead to extending it’s services to the more rural parts of our area.
In other news, the Council’s proposed scrapping of free parking concessions in Lymm and Stockton Heath are under consultation.
Prof Broomhead has been impressed with the response and passion expressed by local residents through the petition set up by Cllr Sally Sharma and said that these responses will have full consideration before any final decisions are made.
And finally, Cheshire and Warrington have been confirmed as part of the Government’s devolution priority programme and it’s expected that mayoral elections will take place in May 2026.
