The match you’ve been waiting for! This Saturday (9th November) will see Lymm Rugby Club take on Leeds Tykes in the National League 2 North.
Can Lymm continue their incredible run of 8 out of 8 wins which places them first place in the league against a team which is just one point behind?
It’s certainly something Chairman David Simpson feels confident about.
David along with Simon Plumb called in for a chat on our morning show ahead of this landmark match. You can listen again right here.
It’s going to be an entertaining day of Rugby at the club with the 2nd Team playing against Rochdale at 2pm.
The 1st Team play against Leeds Tykes at 2.30pm.
Tickets are £10 (with concessions available) and include parking – although in anticipation of this being a packed out day, parking at the club may be at a premium.
Please car share if possible – or park up in the village and walk.
You can get your match tickets in advance at the club’s official website.
In other news, on 2nd November the club hosted 14 Dads and 14 Sons creating a unique squad of players for a cup match against Wallasey First XV.
The one-off event organised by Martin Henderson saw Lymm Eagles beat Wallasey 48/24 in what was a thrilling match.
Details have been sent to the Guinness Book of Records along with evidence of the game to see if this has ever been done before. Watch this space!
And just an update from Simon Plumb. The must-see event of the year, Lymm Panto 2024 is now sold out.
But as always, one or two tickets may become available closer to the event. Though the club don’t operate a waitlist for panto tickets, you can always give them a call to see if any have become available before the performances start.
