Thom Rylance on Music, Fame & Coming Home

This weekend on The Saturday Club, Smithy and Ian were thrilled to welcome one of the region’s brightest music stars – Thom Rylance, the main man behind the award-winning group The Lottery Winners.

Ahead of the band’s eagerly anticipated homecoming gig at Leigh Sports Village Stadium on Saturday 30th May, Thom joined the lads for a wonderfully honest and entertaining chat.

Supremely talented, quick-witted, and genuinely one of the nicest people in pop, he shared stories from the band’s incredible journey – from local beginnings to national acclaim.

In the conversation, Thom talked openly about his close friendship with Robbie Williams (with The Lottery Winners set to support Robbie on his forthcoming tour), the early challenges he faced breaking into the music industry, and the inspiring teacher who first encouraged him to pick up a guitar.
