The collapsed wall at St Mary’s Churchyard has still not been repaired – but a temporary bridge is being built to provide access to the Lymm War Memorial

Rev Bev joined us in the studio with an update to the remembrance service, due to take place on Sunday 12th November.

Warrington Borough Council are responsible for the maintenance and repairs to the churchyard – and the collapsed wall, which despite promises – has still not been repaired.

WBC however have instructed a company to construct a temporary bridge at the site – which will provide access for some to the Lymm War Memorial.

Due to the bridge having steps either side, it won’t be possible for wheelchair users to cross – and marshals will be on hand to assist people up and down the steps.

For those who are unable to access the War Memorial via the bridge, it will be possible to watch the service from the Car Park or on the path by the church.

Will the wall be repaired in 2024?  This remains to be seen – but we’ll update you as soon as we know.
