play_arrowDr Rosie: Realistic Resolutions Dr Rosie
As the new year begins, many of us start thinking about resolutions – those little promises we make to ourselves to try something new, improve our health, or make positive changes.
But as Dr Rosie reminded us this week, the key is to keep them simple and realistic.
It doesn’t need to be a major lifestyle overhaul. You could start small – perhaps a 15-minute walk each day to clear your head, or putting a few pounds aside each week to save for something special. Little changes can make a big difference over time.
Losing weight tends to top the list of new year goals, but strict diets can be tough to follow, especially when it’s cold and frosty outside and we all crave a bit of comfort food. The important thing is to focus on gradual, sustainable change. If you slip up, don’t be hard on yourself.
Just pick it back up when you’re ready.
Remember – resolutions aren’t a competition or a race. The most meaningful one you can make this year is simply to be kind to yourself. Take things one step at a time, celebrate your small wins, and believe that each little effort is a step towards a happier, healthier you!
Tune in to the Health Update with Dr Rosie in conjunction with Spire Cheshire Hospital every Tuesday Morning at 9.40.
