What a year it’s been for Lymm Rugby Club! 2025 ended on an incredible high, with the world-famous pantomime Jack and His Giant Beanstalk breaking every record imaginable.

Every single show was completely sold out, and the spectacular performances helped raise an astonishing £45,000 for the club. It was community spirit and entertainment at its very best — a true team effort both on and off the stage!

Following the success of the panto, spirits remain sky-high as the club proudly reflects on another achievement — being awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the equivalent of an MBE.

This well-deserved recognition honours the tireless dedication of the club’s many volunteers who make such an immense contribution to sport and community life in Lymm.

As we step into the new year, the players are back in training and ready to face the challenges of a fresh season.

With determination, teamwork and support from the local community, they’re aiming for an unforgettable year on the pitch.

And there’s more excitement ahead! Simon Plumb shared news of a special fundraising event returning this spring — the Charity Golf Day at Lymm Golf Club on Friday 8th May.

The much-loved event is making its comeback, welcoming both two-man and four-man teams for a fantastic day out filled with fun, friendly competition and community spirit — all in support of the club’s Grassroots Appeal.

Simon is also keen to hear from local businesses interested in sponsoring the event.

It’s a brilliant opportunity to show your support for local sport while enjoying a memorable day with the Lymm Rugby family.

For more details, or to get involved as a sponsor or player, contact the club directly — and help keep the incredible energy of Lymm Rugby Club growing strong in 2026!
