A wild day out at Knowsley Safari

Smithy and Stefan from MIX56 recently swapped the studio for the safari and enjoyed a truly wild day out at Knowsley Safari in the safe hands of Helena Berry (Head of Marketing & Sales) and Amy Edwards (Brand & Content Manager).

When did you last visit? With more than 750 fascinating animals to discover, Knowsley Safari is a brilliant place to get closer to wildlife in realistic, spacious environments — while also learning more about the importance of conservation.

The five-mile Safari Drive is the longest in the UK and takes visitors through a series of incredible habitats. In Eastern Asia, you can spot Bactrian Camels, Yaks, Eastern Kiang and Père David’s Deer. The Southern Asia zone is home to Axis Deer, Eld’s Deer, Nilgai and Blackbuck.

Then it’s on to the African Savannah, where you could see White Rhino, Ostrich, Roan Antelope and Waterbuck. Keep your eyes peeled in the African woodland for Sitatunga too!

And, of course, there’s the famous Monkey Jungle. Hold on to your seatbelts as the cheeky Baboons come right up to the car and show off. If you’d rather enjoy the action from a little further away, you can take the car-friendly route — or book a seat on the Baboon Bus for the full mischievous experience.

Knowsley Safari’s dedicated conservation team works hard to help protect magnificent animals for future generations. Through partnerships with UK and international conservation projects, the park aims to raise awareness and encourage action to support vulnerable species.
