The world-famous Lymm Rugby Club Panto is back — and this year it’s celebrating a milestone 40 years of festive fun, laughter and community spirit.

For many people, a ticket for the Lymm Panto is the moment the festive season truly begins. It’s a firm favourite in the local calendar, a brilliant night out, and one of the club’s most important fundraisers.

This year’s show is extra special: Snow White and the Magnificent 7 is a revisit of the very first Lymm Panto from 40 years ago, with a fresh twist for 2026. Snow White is back on stage — this time alongside her magnificent seven!

On this week’s breakfast show, Smithy and Ian were delighted to welcome the show’s creator, Simon Plumb, along with star cast member Paul Foulkes, who plays Bolshy the Dwarf.

And yes — Bolshy is six feet tall, which may explain why he’s feeling a little bolshy!

A huge boost for the club

The panto is much more than a brilliant night of entertainment. Last year’s production raised an incredible £45,000 for Lymm Rugby Club, and this year the team is aiming even higher with a target of £50,000.

The money helps support the everyday running of the club, as well as things like travelling costs for the teams. With an extra performance added this year, there are 10 chances to catch the show, running from Thursday 26th November.

Behind the scenes, it takes a huge amount of volunteering — from performers and backstage crews to everyone helping make each night run smoothly. So if you can support the show, you’ll be backing a real community effort.

What to expect

Expect innuendo galore, big laughs, great spirit and all the cheeky chaos the Lymm Panto is famous for. It’s a strictly over-18s show, so leave the little ones at home and get ready for a proper grown-up festive treat.

Tickets sell out very quickly every year — and as of today, only a limited number remain. If you want to be part of this landmark 40th anniversary production, don’t leave it too long!
