Father Christmas on Tour: Festive Visits and Grottos Near You

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas across Cheshire – and that can only mean one thing… Santa’s on his way!

From twinkling grottos and magical meet-and-greets, to festive sleigh tours through local villages – the big man in red will be spreading cheer right across the MIX56 area this December.

Whether you’re hoping to wave from your doorstep as Santa’s float passes by, or planning a special trip to say hello and snap a photo, this is our comprehensive guide to where and when you can catch him.

So grab your scarves, gather the family, and get ready for some merry moments as Santa makes his rounds across Cheshire!

Santa Sleigh 2025 with Warrington Youth Zone and MIX56

Warrington Sleigh Tour

This year, Warrington Youth Zone have once again teamed up with Warrington Lions and the Rotary Club of Culcheth & District.

Be on the lookout from 5pm each evening as Santa and his helpers bring festive cheer (and chocolate coins) to your neighbourhood and begin their route around different areas of Warrington.

Please note that the schedule below is based on the 2024 route.  For updates please visit Warrington Youth Zone.

Route includes:  Westy Park, Davenport Av, Grange Av, Bolton Av, Powder Mill Rd, Richmond Av, Mort Av – and roads in between.

Santa will be visiting the Christmas fayre on Saturday 29th November between 12 and 4.

Birchwood Shopping Centre

Visit Birchwood from Sunday 1st December to see Santa for FREE in his winter wonderland.
 
With some selfie spots, you can write a letter and post it before telling what you wanted and then receive a free gift!
 
Visiting Santa & the gift are free, but donations are welcome. All money will go to local children’s charities.

Santa Claus has confirmed that he and his team of hardworking elves will once again be touring Runcorn in the run-up to Christmas.

Due to increasing demand, Santa will make a brand-new stop in Hallwood Park, and for the first time he plans to spend two nights travelling through Sandymoor.

Stockport

Rotary Stockport Lamplighter will be collecting at various venues around Stockport from Thursday 4th December.

Please note that for some supermarket collections Santa may not arrive until the afternoon and will not always have his float !

Santa’s float will however be at Tesco Portwood on 13th and 14th , Morrisons Bredbury in the afternoon of the 18th and in all venues from 19th to the 23rd.
