Award-winning vocalist and world-class trumpet player Gareth John joined Rob McGowan on Drivetime to chat about his spectacular new show, The Story of Swing, coming soon to the North West.

From The Rat Pack to Robbie, and Basie to Bublé, The Story of Swing celebrates decades of timeless hits performed with energy, style and passion.

With the incredible SOS Big Band behind him, Gareth takes audiences on a musical journey through classics from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, and Bobby Darin, right through to today’s swing sensations including Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, and Harry Connick Jr.

Gareth’s reputation for top-class showmanship and warm, genuine connection with his audience shines through in every performance — no surprise when you learn he’s shared the stage with legends like The Beautiful South and The Specials.

He’ll also be joined by some very special guests on the night, making this an unforgettable live experience.
