Elizabeth Nelson

Hi, I’m Elizabeth and I present Kids Live at 5 every Sunday on Cheshire’s Mix 56.

The show is packed full of local children chatting about various different topics, with regular book reviews, space, pets and sports updates. I started presenting the show when I was 12 in April 2020, and last year the show was nominated for the Grass Roots ARIA Award from the Radio Academy. 

I have lived in Lymm all my life, and I presently attend Lymm Sixth form studying Maths, English Language, Dance and Drama, I hope to go to University in September to study linguistics.

I love musical theatre and am trained in acting, singing and dancing. At age 9 I toured as Jemina in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Jason Manford and Phil Jupitus. I also performed in Nativity the Musical in Liverpool in 2017, and I have performed with many West End stars on various West end stages, including Rachel Tucker, and Willemijn Verkaik.

In 2023 I danced at the Commonwealth Games as one of a group of only 16 children, which was an incredible experience, and I also recently filmed a part in a short film, Mothers and Daughters.  I would love to continue to perform both on stage and screen, alongside my studies.

I have completed my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award this year and am really looking forward to a visit to London for the presentation.

When I am not dancing, studying or presenting the Kids Live at 5 show, I love helping paint rocks for Lymm rocks, and spending time relaxing at home with my parents, brother Matthew and cats, Jack and Jake.
