How to tune in to Cheshire’s MIX56

We’re Online, Smart Speaker, via the MIX56 App and on DAB digital radio across South Manchester and Cheshire

UPDATED: 6th September 2024

Cheshire’s MIX56 broadcasts 24 hours a day from studios in the centre of Lymm.  Here’s the main ways that you can tune in.

Via Smart Speaker

You’ll find us on your Amazon Echo device.  Simply say “Alexa, play MIX56” and we should start streaming straight away.

You may need to download the skill for your smart speaker.  You can find it here.

Online Listening

You can listen anytime via our website MIX56.

If listening on a mobile phone using mobile data, you’ll get our standard 128kb stream.

The MIX56 App

Download our new App now for the easiest and most convenient way to tune in!

The Android App is available at the Google Play Store.

The iOS App is available at the Apple Store. Once you have the App, you can also listen via Apple CarPlay.

Our App will automatically play the HQ stream if you are on Wi-Fi.

Manual Configuration

Some internet radios (including in-car internet radios) may use other radio directories that are no longer supported or updated. Also, some home systems including SONOS or BOSE require you to manually set up a radio feed.

We're on DAB+ digital radio as CHESHIRE'S MIX56 across South Manchester and Cheshire on the following Multiplexes:
  • Warrington & Runcorn
  • East Cheshire
  • Stockport
  • Mid Cheshire

Don't forget you'll find us listed as CHESHIRE'S MIX56 (rather than "MIX56") on your radio display!

Good News for LYMM:

We are delighted to report that following our appeal launched in association with Andy Carter (Former MP for South Warrington) OFCOM agreed to the installation of a repeater transmitter in Lymm

This is now live and reception in the Lymm area is greatly improved!
