Halton is open for business

The first Halton Economic Forum and Marketplace was held at The Heath Business and Technical Park on Thursday 12th September and was a huge success.

The aim of the event was to promote the funded business support that’s on offer in Halton (funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund) – as well as other elements of business support available in Halton.

Over 20 specialist providers were in attendance and following the presentations, guests were invited for informal networking.

Smithy from MIX56 was in attendance and caught up with some of the invited guests including Stephen Young, Chief Executive of Halton Borough Council and Rachael Owen from Halton Chamber of Commerce.

Jayne Smith from Riverside College Widnes.

Amongst the invited guests was Riverside College – an OFSED Outstanding Provider based in Widnes.

Jayne Smith, Head of Skills and Entreprise chatted to Paul about the educational opportunities available and the way they are working with local employers to train up the workforce of the future.

Robin Tudor, Head of PR at Liverpool Airport.

Also in attendance was Robin Tudor, Head of PR at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Faster, easier, friendly is the airports’ slogan – and it seems to be just the ticket.  For the second year running, consumer group Which? has rated the airport number 1 in the UK.
