Join Tim Firth as he reveals the unexpected answer is his childhood home – Stockton Heath. With an extensive catalogue of films, screenplays and books the BAFTA-winning author has many stories to tell, classic moments, readings and more to share during this evening of clips, conversation and curry.

Bridgewater Players Casting Call

A Ghoul’s Night Out written and directed by Kath Buckley

A group of ghost hunting ladies get more than they bargain for when they visit a haunted establishment. Each lady has her own story behind why they are so fascinated by the dead. A funny, supernatural comedy.
Auditions are taking place on Tuesday 7th April at Thelwall Parish Hall

A Talk on Knutsford Prison

Knutsford Heritage Centre – Saturday 28th March from 2pm

Jenny Collis will be presenting a talk about Knutsford Prison – a place of detention for men, women and children – where punishments included the treadmill and stone crushing.

Heritage Afternoon Tea & Talk

Hosted by The Mayor of Warrington at Warrington Town Hall – Friday 20th March – 2.30pm.

Local historian Harry Wells will present a talk in two parts:  Firstly about his efforts to photograph the old town centre with a box camera in the early seventies before it was redeveloped. The second part takes us on a walk from Market Gate down Buttermarket Street and Church Street then back via Brick Street to finish at Cockhedge Mills.

£17.50 per ticket to include a traditional afternoon tea (sandwiches, cake and hot drinks).
