Recently it was National Apprenticeship Week – an initiative to celebrate the achievements of apprentices around the country and the positive impact they make to communities, businesses, and the wider economy.

The event is also an opportunity for employers and organisations to showcase their opportunities to thousands of people who are seeking an apprenticeship and a rewarding career.

One company locally offering exciting apprenticeship opportunities is United Utilities.

United Utilities Apprenticeship Scheme now open

United Utilities is one of the largest employers in the local area and every year they offer a number of exciting apprenticeship opportunities.

Applications for the 2024 scheme are now open

A number of roles are available at different levels throughout the North West. Closing date for applications is Sunday 3rd March.

MIX56 Celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

At MIX56 we celebrated National Apprenticeship Week with special guests and helpful advice.

South Warrington MP, Andy Carter joined Smithy on Monday’s breakfast show

Andy told us that since 2010, around five and a half million people have taken an apprenticeship. They offer a genuine opportunity to learn as you earn – and make a massive difference to the economy.
