There’s a real buzz building around Warrington’s own Luke Turner — and for good reason

The 21-year-old boxing talent joined Smithy & Ian on the MIX56 Breakfast Show to chat about life in the ring, staying grounded, and preparing for his next big challenge at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Friday 7th February.

Luke, who’s signed with Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions, made a big impression on his professional debut last year, securing a confident victory over Jose Aguirre at BOXPARK Liverpool.

Now, he’s looking to build on that momentum as he steps out for his second professional bout in one of the North West’s most iconic sporting venues.

During his chat with Smithy and Ian, Luke spoke about his ambitions for 2026, his training routine, and how he’s handling the excitement (and nerves) that come with performing in front of a packed arena crowd.
