MIX 56 (HD) CHESHIRE'S BEST MUSIC MIX IN HD STEREO
Cheshire’s MIX56 is the station of the stars and we were delighted to welcome Dee C Lee to our morning show.
Dee has been in the music business for quite some time, not just as a singer, but songwriter too.
One-time member of Wham! and later, the Style Council – she’s also had a string of solo records in the charts, including her iconic self-penned evergreen hit See The Day which reached the dizzy heights of #3 in 1985.
The song was covered more recently in 2005 by Girls Aloud and became another top 10 hit.
Roll on 26 years and a chance meeting with Eddie Piller of Acid Jazz records led to Dee returning to the studio – and working with old friends including Mick Talbot (Style Council).
The result is Say Something – an incredible soul/jazz offering which is already dominating the charts. It’s currently standing at #1 on the official Jazz and Blues chart!
It was lovely to catch up with Dee and to have a chat about her long career and her plans for the future.
You can listen again right here.
Listen out for Dee’s new single Walk Away on the MIX56 A list and Hot 7 at 7.
