After a three year gap, Lymm Historic Transport Day returned to the village – and was a roaring success!

The iconic Lymm Transport Day has long been a firm favourite in the local calendar and it made a much welcome return this year – bringing a crowd of thousands to the village.

The day started with a parade of historic vehicles driving through up Eagle Brow, heading up to the May Queen Field.

Julian Ryder & Ian James

Ian James was delighted to be joined by Motoring Journalist and former SKY TV presenter, Julian Ryder for a running commentary, as the vehicles – including an Alvis Scimitar CVRT Tank – the fastest Tank in the world, which would have cost £4M when new – made way through the village.

On the May Queen Field, a collection of more than 450 classic vehicles delighted the crowds – despite the thundery showers which came at 3PM.

The MIX 56 Radio Car Provided by Lightcliffe Skoda

Cheshire’s MIX 56 was broadcasting live from the field, showcasing a brand-new, top of the range Skoda Fabia provided by Lightcliffe Skoda Warrington.

More than 450 vehicles joined the display including the Ghostbusters Car!

Many congratulations to Jack, Lee and all the team and volunteers who put on such a great show. Here’s to next year!
