MIX 56 (HD) CHESHIRE'S BEST MUSIC MIX
It’s a Thursday so here’s our regular check-in with Gareth Dunning, Deputy Editor of the Warrington Guardian to find out what’s in this week’s paper.
The Brianna Ghey trial is underway and you can see live updates at the Warrington Guardian Website.
In other news, congratulations go to Sean Fenwick of Lymm Runners who came first in this year’s Warrington Way 40 mile Ultra Marathon.
Over 300 runners took part in the race – and Sean was first to the post in five hours and 28 minutes!
The Warrington Bin Strikes continue and are set to last until Christmas Eve – but there is hope that this situation will be resolved sooner.
And this Sunday, the Warrington skyline will change forever – as the iconic cooling towers at Fiddlers Ferry are demolished.
No specific time has been set for the detonation as yet – it will be decided on the morning depending on weather conditions.
It will happen between 8am and 12 noon.
No doubt there will be many onlookers – but the event will also be streamed online on the Guardian Website.
