MIX 56 (HD) CHESHIRE'S BEST MUSIC MIX
A new year is upon us and the weather is decidedly dull and wet – but the promise of Spring, happier times and new beginnings is just around the corner.
As we make our way through the winter months, it’s time to re-connect with nature and to brighten your spirits with it’s abundant gifts! Though most trees look skeleton-like and appear dormant at this time of the year, they are still alive and can help you to re-connect.
It has been scientifically proven that hugging (or even touching) a tree – or just being in very close proximity can increase levels of the hormone Oxytocin. This hormone is responsible for keeping you calm and helps with emotional bonding.
Why not touch or hug a tree on your next winter walk?
Frankincense is a wonderfully aromatic resin which is calming, grounding and uplifting at the same time. It’s beneficial to reduce feelings of anxiety, to stimulate the immune system and in small quantities, for oral health too!
Myrrh – also a resin – has even more benefits when it comes to natural health and has a long tradition as a traditional medicine for inflammatory diseases.
Essential oils are the concentrated extracts from plants and are said to have many therapeutic benefits.
Some essential oils are soothing, toning, and grounding, while others are energising, warming, and renewing. Oils can be used individually – or blended together to bring added benefits.
Though essential oils are entirely natural, they should be used with caution and should always be diluted in a suitable carrier oil or base, especially when used on the skin.
It’s a case of less is more with essential oils – just a few drops will suffice.
Barbara brought in one of her own bespoke blends which is highly beneficial for hair!
A wonderful, uplifting and refreshing blend of Peppermint, Thyme, Clary Sage & Lavender in a base of Argan, Almond and Vitamin E.
We are looking forward to trying this wonderfully aromatic blend and will report back in due course!
If you’d like a better understanding of Essential Oils and how they can benefit your natural health and wellbeing, why not book a session with Barbara?
