SMITHY & IAN
Good Morning Cheshire:  23rd April 2026

Yesterday on Breakfast, Smithy & Ian welcomed David Jordan from Lymm Squash Club into the studio to share the latest from one of the village’s fastest-growing sports communities.

Based at Lymm Rugby Club, the squash section is thriving, with membership doubling over the past year. The club now offers coaching for both juniors and adults, making it easier than ever for people of all ages and abilities to get involved.

New members are always welcome, and if squash feels a little too intense, there’s also racketball on offer — a slightly gentler, more accessible version of the game that’s perfect for beginners or those looking for a more relaxed pace.

It’s all part of a wider transformation at Lymm Rugby Club, which is quickly becoming a true multi-sport hub for the community.

With a lively social scene and a packed calendar of events throughout the year, it’s not just about sport — it’s about bringing people together.
