GOOD MORNING CHESHIRE

It was a real pleasure to welcome back a very special guest into the studio this morning—Beverley Scott-Heron, Head of Sir Thomas Boteler High School in Latchford and someone many of our listeners know and admire.

Under Beverley’s leadership, the school has grown into a vibrant, supportive community where young people are encouraged to thrive, feel valued, and reach their full potential.

That positive culture is clearly paying off, with the school recently judged as “Expected” in all areas under Ofsted’s new, much more rigorous framework—a strong and commendable achievement that reflects the hard work of both staff and students.

But Beverley isn’t one to stand still. Always keen to inspire her students to step outside their comfort zones, she’s now doing exactly that herself—signing up for Strictly St Rocco’s in support of a truly important cause.

The challenge will see her swap the classroom for the dancefloor, all to raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice, which provides vital care and support to people and families facing life-limiting illness.

It’s a powerful example of resilience, courage, and giving back—values Beverley champions every day.

And there was another surprise in store during our chat too… before her career in education, Beverley was an opera singer!

Naturally, we couldn’t let her leave without a little performance—treating us to a fun rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive!

If you missed it, you can catch up and follow Beverley’s dancing journey right here and if you’re able, show your support for a fantastic cause.

Listen Again: I Will Survive!
