Families from across Warrington flocked to Birchwood Shopping Centre on Monday 4th August for a day packed with joy, energy, and community spirit, thanks to the Free Kids Fun Day organised by the Warrington Wolves Foundation.
From the moment the doors opened, the centre came alive with the sound of children’s laughter and the excitement of families discovering a wide array of activities.
Little ones and grown-ups alike had the thrilling opportunity to try their hand at wheelchair rugby – a fast-paced experience that proved everyone can get involved, regardless of ability.
For those looking for something a bit steadier, walking rugby offered a fun twist on the classic game, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Of course, no family event would be complete without a few light-hearted games, and chuck a duck drew plenty of giggles as children raced to test their skills and win prizes.

The true highlight of the day?
Wolfie and several Warrington Wolves team players – including Sam Stone, Joe Philbin and Lachlan Fitzgibbon – made special appearances, taking time to sign autographs, pose for photos, and join in the fun.
Their presence created a buzz throughout the shopping centre, as young fans enjoyed the rare chance to meet their sporting heroes up close.
It was a day to remember for the Birchwood community—full of smiles, new friendships, and a genuine sense of togetherness.

The Warrington Wolves Foundation has once again shown its commitment to inspiring local families and building a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
