Warrington’s zero emissions future for bus travel continues to move forward

At a special launch event held at the town hall on Friday (25th October) Warrington welcomed the latest edition to the electric bus fleet – a bright yellow double decker!

Local MP’s and dignitaries attended the event as the latest milestone towards Warrington’s journey towards a sustainable future for bus travel and greener, cleaner transport for eveyone was celebrated.

The future of bus travel is here in Warrington

Warrington Borough Council is the first Council in the UK to introduce a fleet of all-electric buses.

It is expected that a total of 105 buses will entirely replace the old diesel vehicles in Warrington after the Council received more than £20m of funding from the Government’s Zero Emission Bus Regional Areas (ZEBRA) scheme.
