MAGEN KELLY

Hi, I’m Magen Kelly, and I’m a reporter and co-presenter of the Sunday Breakfast show!

I joined Mix 56 back in June 2024 as a reporter, covering events around Cheshire, before also taking on the Weekend Round Up segment, which airs on a Friday and Saturday.

I love being able to give our listeners some great ideas about how to spend their weekends out and about in Cheshire!

I first got into radio when I started at the University of Leeds in 2022.

I spent three years on the News Team at Leeds Student Radio and was Head of News for the station in my second year.

I loved my time in Leeds, and it was there I really decided that Journalism was my passion that I wanted to turn into a career.

After graduating with a degree in Politics in July 2025, I decided to start my Journalism Masters, which I’m currently doing at Liverpool John Moores University.

I’m loving being able to spend all my time living the journalist life, both at Uni and when I’m at Mix 56!

I’m so excited for my latest venture, which is co-presenting the Sunday Breakfast with Rob McGowan!
