MIX 56 (HD) CHESHIRE'S BEST MUSIC MIX
This article has been updated
As 10am struck on Saturday morning, MIX56 was getting ready to broadcast as the doors opened for the second Repair Cafe at Lymm village hall.
Quite a queue had formed in anticipation of the event, with people clutching all manner of things – from kettles and milk frothers to irons and vaccum cleaners. There was even a tandem bike!
Once again, more than 40 items were diagnosed and fixed – and there was no shortage of willing customers, some of whom arrived just a little too late after the 12.30 deadline.
But don’t worry, the Repair Cafe will be back! At present, it’s unsure if there will be one in December with all the other festivities going on, but it will certainy be back – the second Saturday in January. Keep tuned for details.
In the meantime, you can listen to some highlights of our live broadcast right here!

Be a part of the repair and reuse revolution!
Last months Repair Cafe at Lymm Village Hall brought in more than 40 broken items that were fixed free of charge in return for a small donation.
From bike repairs – to small appliances, furniture and more you are invited to bring in your items to see if they can be repaired.
The event is being held at Lymm Village Hall, Pepper Street from 10am until 1. Please note that last items for repair will be accepted at 12.30.
We were delighted to welcome organiser Mike Holmes to our studio to find out more. You can listen again here.
Nothing to repair? Why not pop in anyway to have a look at what’s going on. There’s also a pop-up cafe offering hot drinks and delicious home-made cakes too – and MIX56 will be broadcasting live from the event too!
