MIX 56 (HD) CHESHIRE'S BEST MUSIC MIX
The Three Degrees have been delighting audiences around the world for more than sixty years – and for fifty-six of those incredible years, Valerie Holiday has been a constant member of the hit-making line-up.
We were delighted to catch up with Valerie at her home in Atlanta Georgia, just ahead of her jetting off to the UK. You can listen again right here.
Though the Three Degrees was formed in 1963, it was the 1967 line-up of Valerie Holiday, Fayette Pinkney and Sheila Ferguson in that produced the biggest hits into the 1970’s.
Famously, Prince (King) Charles was a big fan – leading to the group being known in the UK as “Charlie’s Angels”.
Though there have been several personnel changes within the group over the years, Valerie is the now the longest-serving member and will be leading the forthcoming tour with bandmates Freddie Pool and Jessie Wagner.
The group will be appearing for a thrilling performance at The Bowdon Rooms in Altrincham on Friday 13th September – and following the concert, there’ll be dancing until late with DJ Doctor Dance from MIX56!
For the last remaining tickets go to The Bowdon Rooms.
