Hi – It’s Harvey. I present Thursday evenings Musicgasm and Sunday afternoons on Mix 56.
I grew up in Southport and joined the Hospital Radio station there when I was 15. A few years later I went to Israel for my first paid job in radio.
After that I joined the BBC first of all at Radio Shropshire and then moved to London in 1990.
I worked mainly in radio news travelling all over the world including places life Afghanistan and Iraq.
I moved to Media City in Salford in 2011 as part of the 5-Live move up north. I left the BBC in 2020 and shortly afterwards joined Cheshire’s Mix 56.
Away from radio I enjoy travelling, eating out and red wine.
A little known fact – I am a Correspondence Chess player and have been British Champion and have achieved the Grandmaster title!
