Hi I’m Adam James and you can join me for the Evening Show and the Hot 7@7 Monday to Wednesday.

I’m from Telford, though I was born just around the corner in Shrewsbury, in Shropshire. At the age of 20, I moved to Leicester to pursue a degree in Media Production at De Montfort University, where I graduated in September 2024 with a first-class honours degree.

I’ve loved radio ever since I was little. My friend and I used to record pretend radio shows in my bedroom using a tiny iPod Nano—those were the days!

My official radio journey began in 2018 when, at the age of seventeen, I joined my local community radio station in Shropshire, NOVA FM. I stayed at the station for four years, starting with a Saturday afternoon show before moving on to present their weekday mid-morning show during the pandemic.

Between 2022 and 2024, I worked with De Montfort University’s student radio station, Demon FM. In April 2023, I joined Cheshire’s Mix56 and I’ve never looked back!

I currently present the evening show, which focuses on playing the latest tunes along with plenty of 00s and 10s throwbacks. The show also features the Hot 7 at 7, where I count down the seven biggest new songs of the day in Cheshire.

The chart is calculated based on streaming, downloads, and trending tracks from across the region.

I’m a dog lover and proud owner of a beautiful Labrador named Darcey.

I also love scoffing my face with pizza and am a huge Liverpool FC fan—but don’t let that stop you from tuning in!
