Christmas can be a difficult time for many – and for different reasons.
Maybe it’s money worries – or the thoughts of the loss of loved ones, or other past traumatic life events. For some reason, these feelings can be amplified at this time of the year.
Mind the Mental Health Charity provide many online resources with great advice – starting with look after yourself. Be gentle and patient with yourself – and remind yourself that this won’t last forever.
Try to plan on doing something nice after Christmas so that you have something to look forward to.
Importantly, let people know if you are struggling. This could mean opening up to a family member or a trusted friend – or through Mind’s Side by Side online community.
