Neil Fairclough chats to Harvey on the Morning Show

UK rock group The Deccan Traps have been making waves with their dynamic sound and impressive lineup, which includes Neil Fairclough — the acclaimed bass player best known for his long-standing role with Queen + Adam Lambert.

The band’s music blends classic rock influences with modern energy, and their debut album, released in late 2024, features standout tracks like Sun and Moon and The Great Divide (which we A-Listed on MIX56), as well as a special collaboration with Queen’s Brian May on the epic closer “Dream Of A Thousand Nights.”

Excitement is building as the group has just announced their first-ever live concert – set to take place at The Stables in Milton Keynes, on 4th November.

This milestone performance will give fans the chance to experience the band’s powerful musicianship and stage presence in person, with Neil Fairclough’s signature bass lines anchoring the group’s sound.

With a lineup that also features Ricardo Afonso on vocals, John Dagnall on piano and guitar, Lois Dagnall on vocals, Andy Treacey on drums, Neil Edwards on keyboards, and Johnny Heyes on guitar, the Milton Keynes show promises to be a memorable night for rock enthusiasts and Queen fans alike!

Harvey was delighted to welcome Neil to the MIX56 Morning Show.  You can listen again right here.
