Warrington & Vale Royal College have opened a new Construction & Civil Engineering Academy

The Construction & Civil Engineering Academy will serve as a vital link between the college, local employers, and industry leaders – and has been made possible by £3.8M in funding through Warrington’s Town Deal.

Construction & Civil Engineering Academy opens at Warrington and Vale Royal College

The official launch event took place on Monday 2nd December and welcomed  a distinguished guest list of industry professionals, local leaders, and employers. 

Based at the college’s Warrington campus, the Academy’s primary aim will be to drive forward the construction of high-quality, smart, and sustainable homes – accelerating timelines, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs.

By addressing key challenges in the sector, the Academy will contribute to shaping a more sustainable future.

Smithy from Cheshire’s MIX56 was at the official opening and caught up with Nichola Newton, Principal & Chief Executive of Warrington & Vale Royal College, Kerry Dowd – Business & Partnership Manager, Professor Steven Broomhead and Kerry Hall from Warrington Borough Council and Charlotte Nichols, MP for Warrington North.
