The first set of all-electric buses in Warrington are now in service!
Service routes at the moment are 16, 20, 21, 11 and 14 – but more routes will be introduced over the coming weeks.
This is all possible after Warrington Borough Council ordered 105 new electric buses from Volvo – one of the biggest orders placed by any town or city to date.
It’s a Thursday and time for our weekly catch-up with Gareth Dunning, Deputy Editor of the Warrington & Knutsford Guardian.
Don’t forget you can tune in each Thursday on our Drivetime show (4 – 6pm) to hear the broadcast live – or you can listen again on this page. Just click the player button below.
In other news, it’s battle of the baguettes as two major supermarkets in Warrington fall out over the proposed development of a new Lidl store in Pinners Brow. You can read all about it in this weeks Guardian.
