There was no missing the vibrant splash of colour across Lymm recently as the village came together for the annual Paint Lymm Pink campaign – a heartfelt local effort raising awareness and funds for Prevent Breast Cancer, the charity based at the Nightingale Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital.
Throughout the week, pink flags fluttered proudly above the village, while local shops and cafés joined in the fun with eye-catching pink window displays and themed decorations.
The sense of community support and creativity was unmistakable, as everyone united behind such an important cause.
A programme of fantastic events added to the celebrations, including the ever-popular Pink Party at Elmas and a lively Karaoke Night at The Crown, which rounded off the weekend on a real high note.
There were also some amazing raffle prizes up for grabs, generously donated by local businesses and supporters.

The excitement peaked when Sarah May from Prevent Breast Cancer, Jayne Bailey from Bond Travel, and Jen Grimes from Ruby & Harry joined the MIX56 studio to draw the winning tickets live on air – a lovely way to bring the campaign to a close.
This year’s Paint Lymm Pink has once again shown the strength, generosity, and togetherness of the local community.
While the final fundraising total will be announced soon, one thing is certain – the campaign has raised not only vital funds but also vital awareness for a charity doing incredible work to prevent breast cancer for future generations.
A wonderful conclusion to a wonderful campaign – and a pink glow that Lymm can be proud of.
