Hi, I’m Melita and I present Kids Live at 5 every Sunday on Cheshire’s Mix 56

Kids Live at 5 is an hour-long show packed full of local children chatting about various different topics, with regular features including book reviews, space, pets and jokes.

I had been part of the team for almost 2 years before Elizabeth asked me if I’d like to take the reins when she steps down to focus on her studies… and wow those are some pretty big shoes to fill as Elizabeth and her Mum/producer Helen have nurtured it for 5 years into the incredible show you hear today.

Last year the show was nominated for the Grass Roots ARIA Award from the Radio Academy which is something the team are so proud of.

I am 10 years old and live in Lymm with my Mum, Dad and little sister. I love singing and dancing and attend stage school every weekend. Reading is my passion and I am fascinated with words and language. I have been learning to speak Italian with my Dad since I was 5.

My favourite music is anything I can sing along to and if it’s something a bit daft – even better!

I love ending each weekend with Kids Live at 5. It’s great fun and fills me with feel good vibes for the week ahead!
