Hey Now, Dave here!

I present the Friday night show, every Friday between 6 and 9pm, I have been asked to provide you some interesting info for our website, but this took me much longer than I thought as Im really not that interesting, but here goes..

Born in Liverpool, and never permanently left (although I’ve worked all round the UK). I work in construction, 2 kids, play football weekly and have a workshop/ studio where I can create cosplay, movie models, painting – my sanctuary (True movie geek im afraid)

However.

My secret love is radio, and there’s nothing better than being behind a mic.

It all started by accident, a good friend of mine during my university days said he did a bit of hospital radio, were he let me lose on the mic (He shouldn’t have) and I got the broadcasting bug.

I spent 3 years at Sunshine Radio, which was a charity organization based in the University Hospital Aintree.

There I presented and produced shows, which broadcasted all over Liverpool, and road shows that proved to be valuable fund-raising activities for the station. From there I joined Royal 9.45am, another hospital radio based in what was the old Royal Hospital, where the studio was situated right next to the morgue (scary!!)

I was over the moon when I completed Radio City’s 96.7  “Mic Live”, and through that I was given the opportunity to work with their award-winning sports team. With the experienced gained, I presented a weekly show on a local radio station in the Liverpool area called KCR 106.7. I then took a hiatus away from the airwaves due to other life commitments

The Twist!

The Mix56 team said they needed a broadcast legend for Friday nights to give the show real gravatas, and they searched high and low looking for my contact details as they heard about my legendary status .

Only kidding!

I owe the team here at Mix 56 everything, for giving me an opportunity, getting me back into a love of mine after 15 long years away from the airwaves, where I have been for the past 5 months
