Lymm Historic Transport Day is going from strength to strength

For the last 11 years the festival has been a firm favourite in the local calendar and has developed into becoming one of Cheshire’s best-loved events.

This year, more than 11,000 visitors attended making it the most successful event to date.  Profits from the day go towards supporting local causes.

The day opened with a parade of vehicles through Lymm village, with a running commentary by former Top Gear presenter, Steve Berry – and our own Ian James.

Lymm Historic Transport Day celebrates everything transport related – with a fantastic array of steam engines, classic cars and so much more.

Crowds were further delighted with the range of working boats and a sail past on the Bridgewater Canal.

Thank you and congratulations to Jack Levey, Lee Kendall and all the volunteers who helped to make this event such a fantastic one!
